VATT (MITTESTERIILNE) 50G (KAIGERT) is a sterilized, powdered mixture of kaolinite, epoxy vinylester, and semisynthetic graphite. Kaolinite is a white clay mineral composed of hydrated aluminum silicate which gives the powder its stabilizing and compatibilizing properties. Epoxy vinylester is a fast curing resin that is mixed with the powders to improve bonding and surface finish. Semisynthetic graphite is also added to enhance surface strength and lubricity. The final mixture is then put through a fine sieving process to assure uniform particle size and consistency. This process helps maintain optimum handling properties necessary for the strict quality demands placed on automotive, aviation, and electronics components. Once fully tested, it is classified as a “sterile” powder which is safe for use in the medical field.
